DENMARK, S.C. (AP) _ The South Carolina High School League says
Denmark-Olar's football team has been suspended for the rest of the
season because the team used 14 ineligible players. Denmark-Olar had two games left, Friday against Blackville-Hilda and with Bamberg-Ehrhardt on October 27th.
Denmark-Olar lost 34-20 last week to Allendale-Fairfax to fall
to two and six overall. They are winless in Region 5-A. The Vikings
will likely have to forfeit all of their games. Bamberg District Two superintendent Secaida Howell says coach and athletic director Willie Felder has resigned after the High School League determined he was responsible for the ineligible players.
Howell had asked the league to investigate. Howell says she will go to the league tomorrow to appeal the punishment.
