When you think sports wrestling probably isn't the first thing to come to mind. That however may soon change. With the growth of mixed martial arts wrestling programs across the country are seeing a resurgence. One such program is at Glenn Hills.

The Spartans are quickly becoming one of the best wrestling programs in the area and they're this weeks team of the week.

For a lot of people the word wrestling conjures up thoughts of ladders to the head and over the top acting, not the case at Glenn Hills. For the Spartans wrestling is not only a high intensity, high energy sport. It's one that teaches you life lessons.

"The sport itself is like life. You get out there and you have challenges you have to face. You win some, you lose some but at the end of it you have to pick yourself up and learn from your past mistakes." said Mark McCall, Glenn Hills Head Wrestling Coach

"It's intense. You've got to be ready because everyone on the mat is as good as you. You've got to be ready. You've got to be better." said DeAngelo Mack, Glenn Hills Wrestler
