Things seem to be resolved after two days of fireworks between the Augusta Colts indoor football team and the Augusta-Richmond County Coliseum Authority.
"This is outrageous. It's gotten out of hand," said John Sisson, Augusta Colts General Manager.
One of the problems: a week before the Colts Augusta kick off, the Coliseum Authority was not selling tickets.
The Coliseum Authority said the tickets were not on sale because the Colts manager failed to establish a proper line of credit with the arena.
"All I want to do is play some football," Sisson pleaded.
Another concern the $50,000 turf was kept outside, uncovered and unpainted.
Sisson says he compromised, allowing the turf to be cleaned outdoors if it was protected.
Sisson says the Coliseum Authority didn't live up to its end of the bargain, but James Brown Arena General Manager Robert 'Flash' Gordon says neither did the Colts.
"You know what usually takes care of things like that?" Gordon asked. "Money."
Sisson wrote a check to pay for the whole season, but the Coliseum Authority asked for a letter of credit as stated in the lease agreement.
As it stands for now, the turf has been moved back inside the James Brown Arena and tickets are on sale for the March 13 game.
The Coliseum Authority says it must receive a letter of credit by next Wednesday before putting tickets on sale for future games.
The letter of credit pays for all game expenses including reserving the arena for all seven home games.
Board member Keith Brown spent much of the day moderating. It's a role he says he should not have to play.
"As a board member in an emergency situation, it's necessary. But normally, it's a management one," Brown said.
NBC Augusta asked "Flash" Gordon if he thought management had handled the situation well.
"Do you think all the back and forth on this, the fact that this got contentious, is that appropriate in this situation?" we asked.
He hesitated, then read back the arena's schedule of upcoming events.
But the matter might not be settled yet , the Coliseum Authority sent out notice of a meeting to "discuss management and the Colts" on Friday morning.
The Colts opening game is set for next Thursday, March 13 at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are now on sale for that game at the James Brown Arena and the Augusta Colts office.
