The Washington County Golden Hawks brought their 7-0 mark to Waynesboro...and they'd strike first... first half action... Keith Swint... around the right side and in like flint... 7-0 Washington County.

The Bears tied thing up when Brandon Brown burst through the line and rambled 85 yards for a touchdown... and Eric Parkers Bears could feel the momentum shifting their way.

Washington County tacked on three more before the half... again it was Swint getting the big yardage... soccer standout turned football star Ethan Jackson kicked a field goal from 34 yards out... that made it 10-7 WACO at the half.
.
Burke County outscored the Golden Hawks 21-14 in the second half to hand Washington County its first loss of the season 28-24. The Bears improve to 5-3 and Washington County is now 7-1 overall.
