Stan Byrdy

Over 60 years ago Mackenzie Scott played for Aiken... Friday night he and wife of 58 years Barbara came to watch their grandchildren... twins Kessler and Hunter Scott for the Hornets... and relatives and twin cheerleaders Hope and Holly Scott... great Scott... three generations of the Scott family... and two sets of twins... on the field and in the stands.

First quarter action from Hagood Stadium...its Kessler Scott on what looks to be a broken play... he turns nothing into something... moments later hocus pocus the Hornets are on the board... Aubrey Johnson the big td... 6-0 Aiken.
...,
On their next possession... Kessler Scott again on the carry... hit hard out of bounds... and coch Cary Johnson stops things and makes the wise decision to take his starting qb out of the game... with Billy Vickers on in relief... same results as Jeremy Robinson sets up the Hornets 14-0 lead.

North Augusta roars right back...Loronzo Hammonds with the call... the ball and see ya y'all... to the Hornet 25... moments later the 'Jackets cap the drive...as hammonds flies the friendly skies to Matt Hazel... put em on the board... 14-7 as Aiken's lead is cut to 7 points.

But Aiken answers back... with Kessler Scott back in the game... with their number 4 in for the score ... Jeremy Robiinson makes it 21-7... and your halftime score is your final score... 21-7 Aiken wins... Cary Johnson's Hornets head to the South Carolina 4A playoffs with a record of 9-2.
