One of the few games not canceled on the South Carolina side Friday night was Aiken at home to Richland Northeast. These two very familiar with each other as they met just 5 weeks ago. Richland Northeast won that match up by 10.

Since then Kerry Johnson's squad has won 4 straight by an average of 23 points a game. The sky above Hagood Stadium would open up as heavy rains fell most of the first half, but it didn't stop either offense.

On the very first play of the game Richland Northeasts Kersean Wilson hit Kenny Upshaw for a 72 yard gain. The Cavaliers would score two plays later on a Wilson draw. The Hornets would answer on the very next drive Courtez Abney would rattle off 25 on a option. He would later score on a 6 yard draw to tie the game at 7.

The Cavaliers would take over after that as Wilson hit Derrick Frost for a 17 yard touchdown to give Richland Northeast a 14-7 lead. They would get a Gee Gee Greene 28 yard touchdown at the end of the first quarter and would take a 21-7 lead into the half. They would hold on for the 24-7 win as Aiken's season comes to an end.
