Not counting the independent schools there were eight undefeated's left in the South Carolina playoffs coming into Friday night. Two of them got together in Edgefield as Strom Thurmond welcomed a Central Padgeland team who has had a lot of success against our area teams in recent years.

The Rebels would take the opening kickoff and drive right down the field to take a 7 nothing lead. The drive lasted 8 minutes and 27 seconds and was capped by a Tra'ves Bush one yard touchdown run.

Strom Thurmond would hold that 7 nothing lead at the half, but Central would score 12 second half points for the 12-7 win.
