It was rivalry week in Georgia and the first week of the playoffs in South Carolina but it seemed like the same teams stood out once again.

North Augusta got a great defensive performance and quarterback Loranzo Hammonds accounted for four touchdowns as the Yellow Jackets beat Aiken 35-7.

Over at Midland Valley the Mustangs got a safety and a Trey Walker kickoff return for a touchdown as they beat Crestwood 28-11 to advance to the second round of the class AAA playoffs. They will travel to Myrtle Beach next week.

On the Georgia side of the river Lakeside picked up it's school record ninth win and clinched it's first regular season region championship since 1993 in their 43-0 rout of Josey. The Panthers will host a first round playoff game next week.
