A member of last year's outstanding pitching staff, Steven Calicutt from Spartanburg, South Carolina has been named to start on the mound for the Augusat GreenJackets in the season opener. The 'Jackets host Greensboro for a 4 game series that gets underway in Augusta on Thursday night.

Last season's batting coach, Andy Skeels takes over as manager of the GreenJackets, succeeding Roberto Kelly, who was promoted to first base coach with the 'Jackets parent organization, the San Francisco Giants. Ross Grimsley also returns to head up the 'Jackets pitching staff.
