It made national headlines Monday -- a promotional stunt turned Olmstead Stadium green.

One look in the stands, you'd think this is Green Bay.
But hey, it's baseball -- a thousand miles away.

"Brett's back in title town," said Packers fan Adam Kleba. "I had to come here."

Lambeau this is not, and there were no Packers, Just free Farve flip flops, cheese tops and Brett-backers.

"We just kind of thought it was ridiculous," said GreenJackets General Manager Nick Brown. "We decided we were going to make a little light of it."

Cheesehead or not, fans saw Favre's number retired.
Though if you check back Tuesday -- we hear he's re-hired.

"Gotta make fun any way you can," Kleba said. "Maybe he will be starting Monday Night Football."

Brown tells NBC Augusta he spent the whole day fielding media calls from as far away as California. He said most of the calls came from Wisconsin and most of them found the flip flop promotion pretty funny.
