There were 22 strikeouts recorded overall and just one run on the night... Madison Bumgarner struck out ten for the GreenJackets and as did Connor Graham for Asheville. But the 'Jackets managed a run in the 6th inning after loading the bases and a sac fly by Nick Noonan that scores James Simmons... After 8 innings the jackets turned to closer Andrew Delagarza. who added two strieouts of his own to preserve the win. The Greenjackets win 1-0 and take a 1-0 lead in this best of 3 series. The series resumes in Asheville Friday night.
