Charleston, WV – The Augusta GreenJackets (3-0) finished off the sweep of the West Virginia Power (0-3) on Thursday night with a 4-3 win in Game 3 to capture the South Atlantic League Championship. Augusta took the early lead in the first inning chasing the Power starter. Thomas Neal had a two-out bases loaded walk then Garrett Baker reached on an error from third baseman Zelous Wheeler for a 2-0 lead. The Power cut the lead in half with a two-out RBI single in the second inning from Matt Cline.

Augusta added two more runs in the fourth inning on a two-run single from Noonan with two outs in the frame for a 4-1 lead. West Virginia trimmed the lead in half again in the fourth inning on a one-out solo homer from Caleb Gindl.

Barnes (2-0) worked six innings and allowed two runs on five hits for his second postseason win. David Mixon worked a perfect seventh inning and Andrew De La Garza closed out the final two innings allowing one run on two hits and recording two strikeouts.

Augusta finished the season 93-50 including the playoffs and is home to the South Atlantic League Championship for a 10th time.
