AUGUSTA, Ga. - After a near-100 degree afternoon it was a sweltering evening. That didn't stop a big crowd from heading into the heat to watch the Greenjackets Friday night. Fans had one word to describe the game. By gametime, the weather cooled to the mid-90s, but in-the heat, it felt even hotter. "About 100 degrees," Waugh estimated. Medics say one man had a little too much heat, but with some water, he was just fine. And everyone else found their own way to keep cool. There was a long line at the Dippin Dots stand and the misting area was packed. With help from their fans, and maybe a cold beer, GreenJackets fans were ready to cheer. The GreenJackets lost the game to Rome, 11 to 8.
