GreenJackets wrap up first half with 6-4 win over Rome

Since opening the season 2 and 11 the GreenJackets have gone 32 and 23 since, and while Augusta can't win the first half championship they have to be feeling pretty good about themselves heading into the All-Star break.

Which begins on Monday. A pair of Jackets will be in Charleston, WV for Tuesday nights All-Star Game. First though wrapping up the first half again Rome.

In the second one of those All-Stars, Juan Perez, put Augusta up one to nothing with his seventh homerun of the season. Augusta would add three more in the third as they defeat Rome 6-4. The Jackets finish the first half with a record of 35-34.

Once again I had the pleasure of spending Father's Day watching the Greenjackets. And once again the boys of summer won the game. It doesn't get better than this! GO JACKETS!!
