'Jackets Perez hits home run in SAL All-Star game

CHARLESTON, WV - Augusta GreenJackets' second baseman Juan Perez hit a pinch hit 2-run home run in a losing cause for the South in the 50th Anniversary playing of the South Atlantic League All-Star game. Perez's 5th inning shot gave the South a 6-4 lead... but the North rallied back in a see-saw battle before scoring the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning... Perez was 1-2 on the night. The GreenJackets resume their series against the Rome Braves at Lake Olmstead Stadium on Thursday night.
