Monday was the last day out at the ballgame in Augusta this year, as the GreenJackets wrapped up their season.

Chris Gaffney brought his grandson out to the game; he says the best part is the price.

"It's closer to home," he said, comparing it to Atlanta. "Today was a bargain with admission at a buck."

General Manager Nick Brown says promotions like that, led to a pretty good season.,

"Attendance was right on pace with last year," said Brown. "We feel like we won."

He says sales did suffer at concession stands and in the gift shop.

But he says he's confident they'll pick back up soon.

"We're going to beef up our promotions schedule next year," he said, saying he feels like the economy will turn around.

The Jackets ended their season on a positive note Monday with a 6-5 win over Rome.
