Not so for Marty Jackson and the Evans Knights who take even greater pride in bringing in the toughest opponent they can find for homecoming... and trying to take the bully down.

Evans moved the ball convincingly on their first possession, behind quarterback Kevin Millward's running and passing attack. Matt Dickerson field goal gave the Knights an early 3-0 against unbeaten and 4th ranked Statesboro.

Evans scored an unanswered touchdown in the second half and their defense held strong as the Knights upset the applecart in Georgia 4A football with a 10-7 win against Statesboro. The Evans Knights roll to 6-0 and Statesboro falls to 5-1, just their 5th loss in 56 games.
