Lisa Leslie was first and Candace Parker the most recent, but neither of those has the slam dunk skills of high school basketball player Brittney Griner from Texas.

"I jumped over a couple of my friends in the school and I've done a 360. I've got some other stuff I'm working on for a dunk contest." said Brittney Griner.

She's not even a senior in high school, but already Brittney Griner is putting both new meaning and new gender to the term "rim rocker."

Her dad first realized that his daughter could dunk when she was just in 9th grade.

"I first noticed her dunking, I bought a goal at the house and I came home one day and it was bent so I asked her what happened she said she had been dunking." said Raymond Griner, Brittney’s father.

And while she knows she'll be remembered most for her abilities above the rim, Brittney hopes as she prepares to go to college in a year people will notice her other skills as well.

"I know they're going to be saying that's the dunking girl, but I want them to see how my overall game is. There's more to my game than just going out a dunking every time." said Grinner.
