North Augusta said welcome to South Carolina guys... their second possession... Travis Murphy dials deep to Cam Alston... who gets the tag and the flag... from there... Tidy Johnson tidies things up with a nice carry... and coach Dan Pippin says bring it in guys... moments later Muprhy finds Alston.... and Cam ca bam... finds the endzone... 6-0 NorthAugusta celebrates the early lead.
Moments later North Augusat was back on the board... as Doogie Alexander gets a hand on Eric Osteen's punt...and the 'Jackets swarm in the endzone for a big 13-0 lead in the opening minutes at North Augusta.
That brought out the firesticks in the stands... and the call went out on the Jackets sideline to pinch em for everything they had... on a critical 4th and inches in the second quarter... Murphy fakes into the line... and pops outside with the ball... the call... and 6 more on the baord... 19-0 Jackets... who say they are number one.
Speaking of #1... ARC's #1, Eric Osteen was good from 45 yards out...and puts ARC on the board before the half... where they gave an award to old Doc Curly Watson... 98 years young... who is still practicing and still works with the team scine 1937... 61 years... and that brought the house down in North Augusta...
ARC answered in the opening moments of the secondhalf...as Marquan Medlock kept for the score around thge left side to make it a 19-10 game. But North Augusta owned the night and go on to win it 41-10 against Richmond Academy.
