It just wouldn't be Friday Night Lights without rain... so of course... for this championship edition of Friday Night Lights... there was rain... very light at first...then heavier as the game went on in Louisville for the GISA Class A title game with Thomas Jefferson at home to Terrell Academy.
Terrell strikes first in the air to take an early 7-0 lead... but TJ head coach Chuck Wimblery tells his team... that's ok, we'll be back... and they would... moments later... with Logan Logan Perdue get the hard yardage and Derrick Mathis for the score... the Jaguas tied the game at 7 all.
Logan Perdue also set up the Jaguars next score... with Taylor Barrentine adding the touchdown as Thomas Jefferson takes a 13-7 lead. But Terrell matched TJ's two touchdowns with two of their own to take a 20-13 lead.
The Jaguar's Logan Perdue tied things back up with a long touchdown run to make it 20 all... but teh Eagles scored again before half to take a 27-20 lead at intermission. Terrell outscored Thomas Jefferson 34-6 in the seocnd half to win it 61-26 to claim the GISA 'A championship.
In the Georgia 'A quarterfinals... Lincoln County defeated Wilcox County 27-12 and Emanuel County Institute turned back Bremen 13-7.... so the Red Devils and ECI are each just one win away from meeting in the Georgia 'A championship game at the Georgia Dome on December 13th.
