Augusta Prep, Westminster to meet in GISA Region 4AAA finale

AUGUSTA, GA - If you're going to be the best... at some point you've got to play the best. Augusta Prep hosted top seed Gatewood Thursday night in the second round of the Region 4AAA playoffs.

Gatewood jumped out to a double digits first half lead, but Prep rallied late in the half on four consecutive baskets by senior Jim Hull to cut the lead to 3 points at halftime 29-26... then the Cavaliers sent it into overtime at 51 all en route to winning 60-53.

That sets up an all-Augusta showdown in Friday nights Region 4AAA finale between Prep and rival Westminster Schools... the Wildcats defeated Pinewood to advance Thursday night.
