In sports we call it the domino effect... on Monday Georgia Southern head coach Jeff Price stepped dodwn after 10 seasons. ...you have to know that ASU's Dip Metress would be an excellent choice for the job in Statesboro.

To that extent ASU has confirmed that the Eagles have requested from Jaguars Athletic Director Clint Bryant and gotten the ok to speak with Dip about their job... we've also gotten word that Southern is looking to move very quickly.

In 7 season's at Augusta State Dip Metress has put Jaguar basketball on the map... for 2 consecutive seasons he has led his team to the Division 2 Final Four... in those 7 seasons his winning percentage is .728... he has had 11 straight winning seasons as head coach at both ASU and Belmont Abbey.

Can he recruit? We all know the answer to that... he saw something nobody else did in Garrett Siler from ARC who developed into the best percentage shooter in NCAA history. Finally can he put people in the seats? You bet he can... even at ASU he filled it up... and got faces painted... and people cheering.
