It was a battle of the old versus the new as the Evans Knights take on the Greenbrier Wolfpack!

You could call it the Columbia County Superbowl, the Evans Knights, the oldest high school in the county, nearly 50 waring against the Greenbrier Wolfpack, just 10 years old.

Even though both teams have a 2-0 start, its was last year's match up that still has the fans fired up!

"It was the game last year with 1.4 seconds left. Evans thought they had us but we beat them in the end," said one fan.

"We believe they cheated. We watched the game and they overused the clock, so this year we are going to show them what we got," said an Evans fan.

It's a rivalry that's so intense its actually the visiting team that has more signs than the home team.

"We just love our team and we are here to support them and we're here to bring home a win," said another fan.

But its not just the football turf they're fighting over.

"They don't beat us in any sport, not baseball, football, not even gymnastics and we don't even have a gymnastics team but if we did we'd beat them too," said a Greenbrier fan.

But which team's colors are the best; the bright green and yellow or the fierce black and gold?
