Just 39 seconds into the game, defenseman Ken Scuderi found the goal to give Augusta an early 1-0 lead. Skating on fresh legs, Scuderi made his return tonight after being out with an injury. The Inferno scorched back to take a 2-1 lead after two periods... 7 consecutive peridos that the Lynx had gone without a goal by a player on offense.

Augusta's offense reemerged in the third period with goals by Louie Goulet... and then Igor Pohanka with the game winner as the Lynx win it 3-2. it will be a quick turnaround for both teams as they will meet again tomorrow afternoon in Columbia.
