Update: Lynx head coach says they will play Thursday night

AUGUSTA, Ga.- The Charlotte Observer reported Wednesday that the Augusta Lynx were expected to be disbanded Wednesday afternoon.
The report says the ECHL Board of Governors is meeting Wednesday afternoon and an announcement is expected sometime later.

The report also stated that the Augusta Lynx had financial troubles. NBC Augusta 26 News spoke with the head coach of the Augusta Lynx and he tells us that the game with the Charlotte Checkers is still scheduled for Saturday. He also says the Lynx will play the Gwinnett Gladiators Thursday.

The club is currently in their tenth season in Augusta. NBC Augusta 26 Sports Director Stan Byrdy has an exclusive interview with head coach John Marks about the fate of the Lynx.
