People spend hundreds of dollars getting tickets to the Masters, but many of them don't know the interesting bits of history that surround the Augusta National.

Take the question: When did the Augusta National first open? Many we asked said 1934. The Augusta National opened its gates in 1932.

The first gold tournament was in 1934. Back then, it was called the Augusta National Invitational. Horton Smith was the winner of that first tournament.

We also asked golf fans who was the first international player to win the Masters?

The answer Gary Player in 1961.

The Masters Par 3 tournament was first held in 1960. Sam Snead was the winner.
