Hi Patti - Emerald Isle will be on the eastern, more dangerous, side of the storm. I would expect some wind damage, beach erosion, and a tornado threat from late Friday night ending noon Saturday. I wouldn't be surprised if there are some power outages. Good luck!

I am on vacation and instead of looking at the area forecasters for information on Hanna, I checked here. I know these Meteorologists are studying their radars with great accuracy. Thanks for being a source we can trust!

I have lived in many different cities as a meteorology student and WAGT's weather team is the only one I've seen with such detailed weather information that is right on target with what its people worry about.
