Severe Weather Awareness Week

By Jeff Rucker jrucker@nbcaugusta.com

March 2-8 is Severe Weather Awareness Week for South Carolina.

Spend some time this week reviewing or developing a Severe Weather Safety Plan for your family. Everyone in your family should know what to do when Severe Weather strikes.

We have some great tools to help you get started:

1. Check out our Severe Weather Guide. Download it, use it, and share it. It has all you need to make a plan.

2. Sign up for our free service NBC Augusta WeatherCall. This is service will call you automatically if severe weather is approaching your home or business.

3. The National Weather Service provides safety information for each day of the week. Check back each day for new information.

4. The statewide tornado drill is postponed to Thursday morning, March 6. Make sure you can receive the test Tornado Warning wherever you are.
