Lunar Eclipse Feb 20, 2008

By Jeff Rucker jrucker@nbcaugusta.com

Skies remained clear over metro Aiken-Augusta for the last total lunar eclipse until December 2010.

A lunar eclipse occurs when the moon passes through the shadow of the earth. The moon appears red because that is the color of the earth's shadow.
