Severe weather hit Georgia-Carolina Tuesday night knocking down trees and power lines in several areas. Thousands lost power in the storms.

Deputies directed traffic after several lights stopped working. Our crews caught up with one woman was was surveying the damage in her neighborhood.

"I was watching TV. I started to hear rain and wind. It sounded like a small train coming through. It scared the hell out of me," said Barbara Harvey, neighbor.

Deputies also say heavy winds ripped parts of the roof off
at Josey High School.

The storms also knocked out power for thousands in Georgia-Carolina.
