The National Weather Service says the storm that tore through the Bath area was an EF-2 strength.

That means it had winds of 111 to 135 miles an hour.

Cleanup is well underway in Aiken county and power is back on for most.

But for some hit hard, like Sonja Williams, power is not even a consideration.

She says she had an idea of the damage she'd find as she heard the storm cross over Bath.

"You hear something go 'whoo whoo,'" she recounted. "You know that was a big one."

It damaged lots of property, tearing up trees and throwing them on houses. It damaged public property as well, ripping the roof from Bath's water tower.

Sheriff Michael Hunt says folks in Bath will have to boil their water when it comes back on.

Thankfully nobody was severely hurt in Aiken County.
