Lightning may be cause of morning church fire

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Firefighters were on the scene of a church fire Friday morning.

They tell NBC 26 Augusta this morning's thunderstorms may be to blame.

Lightning may have struck Strait Gate Apostolic Church around 6:30 this morning.

The church is located on Richmond Hill Road in south Augusta.

Our crew on the scene tells us the church was destroyed
