Georgia bracing for extreme cold
PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. (AP) - The time to bundle up in Georgia is at hand. The National Weather Service in Peachtree City says temperatures Meteorologist Laura Griffith says there's a slight chance of snow flurries in the mountains Sunday morning, but temperatures will rise above freezing during the day. The low Friday morning in the mountains is expected to be 7 degrees and 6 degrees Saturday. Peachtree City has the low forecast for the Atlanta area--9 Lows in the south will be in the 20s on Friday and upper teens on Saturday. (Copyright 2009 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.)
