Tornado touchdown near Charleston confirmed
HANAHAN, S.C. (AP) - The National Weather Service has confirmed Meteorologist John Jelsema said Tuesday that no one was injured by the tornado that struck Hanahan. Several homes were damaged as trees toppled and strong winds Authorities say the tornado moved along a marsh for a fourth of a mile around 6:48 p.m. Saturday, stirring winds of up to 85 mph.
