Double Rainbow over South Wales with highest peak 2900ft in background. Also, these stunning images were taken by Mike Davies on Feb 11th 2008 on the Brecon Beacons National Park in South Wales. The park is renowned for it natural beauty and stunning landscapes in all weathers.
Pen-y-Fan meaning head of the flat lands at 2.900ft above sea level was once formed by the ice age and was at one time covered by a vast ocean some 4/700 million years ago
the summit of Pen-Y-Fan is very flat and covered in sand and red sand stone.
