The CSRA Happy Tails animal rescue group appeared on NBC Augusta on Wednesday May 14. Avis Lyle is holding Rusty, a five year old beagle mix that has a delightful personality and would be a great pet for an older person. Barbara Gleitsmann has Zack, a four month old shepherd lab mix. He is friendly and loves to play. Cassy Johnston has Lucky, a black and white tuxedo kitten that was thrown out of a car window in North Augusta. Lucky is almost healed from injuries to her paw and chin.Christa Huffine of NBC Augusta has Scarlett, a two year old Carolina Dog/lab mix. Scarlett was saved from an animal shelter with nine puppies that have thrived and been adopted. The two dogs and puppy are crate-trained and ready for a loving forever family. All the animals have been wormed, and are up to date on vaccinations. They have or will be neutered or spayed and micro-chipped. Call 706-836-2708 or view pets at www.happytailsrescue.net. Happy Tails has adoptions at SuperPetz on Bobby Jones Expressway from 1-4 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday. A calendar filled with adorable Happy Tails pets is now on for sale as a fund raiser. Call 706-564-9605 for information. Donations may be made to CSRA Happy Tails, Inc. P.O. Box 211773 Augusta, GA 30907-1773. Pets are kept in foster homes throughout the CSRA.
