Have You EVER Been "Polled" ?

My wife and I were lying in bed watching, yet another, poll on Fox News. As I sat I began to wonder...who are they polling? Now, mind you, I'm fairly popular in this city (I've done a great deal of local television), but I have yet to meet ANYBODY that's EVER been polled. It brings to mind a song lyric from the local band JEMANI (pronounced Gemini) that goes a little something like this...
I can't believe reality from MY vision
or information I get from the Tellin'-A-Lie Vision
The polls are showing DI-vision
Is it legit?
Cause ain't nobody asked me Sh@#!....
Think about it.
People are essentially told what to do by advertisers, news media, entertainers, etc. EVERYDAY...We've been conditioned to allow ourselves to be controlled by the OPINIONS of others.
News polls routinely suggest a certain group of people, feel a certain way, on a certain day...but WHO are they polling? Have YOU ever been polled? Now i'm not referring to the "which cell phone or cable provider do you utilize" surveys, I mean actual political polls. I can say this....I am a college graduate, with prior military service, married 15 years, with four kids. I've been everything from a lead vocalist in a rock band, to a middle school Language Arts teacher. I've been a registered voter since I moved here in the early 90s. Hell, I'm even a member of the YMCA....and NOBODY has EVER polled me about ANYTHING. Think about that next time you hear a poll.
I have never been polled my life and no nobody who has ever been polled including parents and grandparents aunts and uncles cousins and siblings all have never been polled
I have never been polled either and neither have any of my friends or family. I really would like to know who exactly they are polling. The online polls that anyone can vote in seem to have a totally different result.
Never been polled, since I am republican, I assume they don't want to hear from me. LOL
I have never been polled. I do not know of anyone that has. I recenly did my own poll. I called 500 people from the national phonebook. The rsults: 99% had never been polled. 1% were not sure. What this is: A democratic bunch of crap.
