Location: Downtown Augusta

At about 8pm on Friday night, a fire broke out at an old mill in downtown Augusta just off of Laney Walker Blvd. just a few blocks from olde Town. The abandoned mill was storing stocks of animal feed which played a big part as to why the fire grew so big and so quickly. Residents gathered around the streets watching the blaze hoping it wouldn't spread to the houses nearby. Some houses were just across the street from the mill. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
