Mike Davies sends another beautiful photo from Wakes: "after a very turbulent start to November with storm force winds and
torrential rain, autumn has once again made an appearance on Rheola Lake in the vale
of Neath south Wales, a beautiful location and just 10 mins from home, it was here that the novel King Solomon's Mines, by Rider Haggard, was partly penned. Rider Haggard often visited this location and stayed at the mansion in
the background, he was a friend of the family,
I guess the location let his imagination run away.
We had our 1st frosts on Nov 7th with temps rising to the dizzy heights from zero to 10 Celsius."
Thanks Mike
