Ever notice how the Constitution is no big deal when it works against you? The Courts can rule by the law of the land or decide that the constitution isn't worth fighting for. There is no middle ground unless there is a technical loop hole where the court can use to avoid making a decision. If he's legal then he's legal, If he's not then he must vacate. The 1986 law regarding naturalized citizenship applies retroactively to Obama's birth. The law specifically states that it is to be applied retroactively. What you need to realize is Obama/Soetoro's Mother reported the birth days after he was born in Kenya. Hawaii has a provision for this: CERTIFICATION of Live Birth, different than an actual long-form Certificate. Again, What Obama/Soetoro has on record is NOT proof of his natural-born citizenship. Just because you can't get your head around it doesn't make it not so. Big-picture him.

I do not have my original BC. When I went to apply for a position with the DOD several years ago I needed a copy of my BC to go along with the application. I contacted the state where I was born and paid a fee for copies. They did not have my original certificate and gave me computer generated certified copies much like the one pictured except diff color and a diff state seal. Yes, McCain was born in the Panama Canal Zone. The technicality is that PCZ babies were not natural US citizens at that time. A law was passed two years after his birth that gave babies that status. It's not clear that the law applied retroactively. But despite that, there's just no way that either candidate would, or should, be excluded based on such a technicality. This is a democracy. Once there are 50 to 100 million voters aching for a guy, the eligibility is effectively law.

Hawaii issues tow different types of birth documents. A certificate of live birth, and a cirtification of live birth. They are not the same. The one on Obama's site is a cirtification of live birth, that only indicates that he was alive at the time it was filed for. If obama has nothing to hind wheres the document. And what did obama do when he was younger ie. school, hobbies, ex girlfriends, any photos of him growing up. you dont hear much about him. He has a wife and 2 kids what else? I dont mean to say that obama wouldnt make a good prez. But why would someone take him to court over a birth document all he has to do is show the thing. Is it not hard to do unless of course he does not have one??

Sorry guys that is a LEGITIMATE certificate, as I have the same document. The Hawaii officials have attested to its validity, and many many sites have proven that its an OFFICIAL document. My parents lost my original BC when we did so much moving (I was born in Hawaii, lived in Florida, and we returned to Hawaii when I was four). That is a legitimate form that can be used to obtain a Passport, establish citizenship, and even obtain a Drivers License.
